Former White House chief medical advisor Anthony Fauci said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that because of “political ideology,” there were more COVID-19 deaths and hospitalizations in red states versus blue states.
Co-host Jonathan Lemire said, “We now head into a moment where because of that divisiveness, it’s become a political issue. Vaccinations in particular have become a political issue where you have not just Donald Trump but other Republicans saying, no, no, don’t take the COVID vaccine. We had other prominent figures saying, no, you should not take other vaccines as well, things that are standard that everyone has perceived for decades. With this much of disinformation and anger and just flat out vaccine hesitancy, how nervous are you about our ability to handle the next pandemic, whatever it might be?
Fauci said, “I’m very concerned about that because the misinformation and disinformation about absolutely scientifically proven life saving interventions. It’s astonishing to me that so many people by political ideology will make a decision that would actually endanger their lives. The facts are, and as a physician and a scientist, this is very painful to me, that if you look at red states versus blue states, because of people getting less vaccinated because you’re a Republican versus a Democrat, there are more deaths and hospitalizations in red states versus blue states. That’s horrible that that happens, that people suffer and die because of misinformation that’s related to a political ideology.”

I work part time at Home Depot the vaxed ended up acting Covid a minimum of 3 times the unvaxed got it once removed and had NO RELAPSE!! The unvaxed ended up working massive hours to cover the store because the vaxed were out of work repeatedly, this is just my personal observation!! I did get Covid and YES I was very sick, I am 72 years old I did NOT go anywhere near a doctor, doubled up on my supplements and came through it just fine!! I was NO MORE ill than when I had the Hong Kong flu at 19 yr old!! My recovery was slower of course because of age HOWEVER I believe the fear porn drove seniors into unnecessary care where hospitals and ventilation killed them!!
Donald Trump never told us to not take the vaccine. It, to him, was one of his crowning achievements.
Funny but when you try and filter by states with the most deaths it does not filter correctly, filtering only by the first digit...and Kalifornia is #1
BS! Utter BS! There is absolutely zero evidence or reports to make this assertion. This is just more Fauci falsehoods for political purposes.
I doubt we’ll ever know the true total here in the US, because hospitals were paid extra for covid deaths, and if a patient had covid, but died of a heart attack, I have heard that some hospitals counted covid as the cause of death. Also, the covid ventilator patients who died BECAUSE of being put on ventilators were also counted as covid deaths. I know some of you FR doctors may balk at the above, but you, especially, should know how hospital administration watches the bottom line. after all, the Bible doesn’t lie when it states, “the love of money is the root of all evil”.
This reminds me of the claim that there is more violent crime in “Red” states. That claim may be true, but it is also true that Missouri is a “Red” state but most of crime occurs in Democrat-run St. Louis. Louisiana is a “Red” state but most of the crime occurs in Democrat-run New Orleans. Georgia is a “Red” state but most of the crime occurs in Democrat-run Atlanta. Michigan is a purple state but most of the crime occurs in Democrat-run Detroit.
