Tester sucks, but as much as I hate to admit it Priuses are good little cars that are reliable and get good mileage.

Nothing wrong with a Prius hybrid as a daily commuter or local errand car. Our 2012 Prius C has over 200k miles, battery pack is still good, doesn’t consume oil and still typically gets between 50 and 60mpg.

Tester is a lard-ass, but a used Prius is a practical commuter car for Washington DC.
They wouldn't if the cars weren't reliable and cheap to operate.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with a Prius, but the aggressive ugliness of earlier versions appeals to liberals who need to demonstrate their concern over climate change to other liberals.
The current version is better, but now it’s indistinguishable from many other cars. I guess that comes with maturity.
