So this and the 10,000 similarly breathless "Hey, look what I just noticed!" stories which have come out over the past several years are "news" only to those who haven't been paying attention at all.
California's population had continued to rise only due to "natural increase" (more births than deaths) and, obviously, the massive influx of foreigners. Now, finally, those factors are not keeping pace with the departures. But people have been voting with their feet for many, many years, and the ongoing mass exodus is hardly all "good" people who make their destinations better places (e.g. Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, all of which have been heavily Californicated and there's no sign of it stopping).
If California's decline continues at this rate, there is a chance that Texas could pass it in population within another couple of decades. At which point Texas will be the "New California" in more ways than just head count; its politics will resemble California's too. At the very least they sure won't resemble today's Texas, which still leans a little to the right.
But that can't possibly happen in Texas. Yeah.... about 50 years ago they said that about California too.
It was New Yorkers that destroyed this State, starting in the '60s. My family has been here for five generations, but both of our girls have left for North Carolina.
I can't leave, for obvious reasons. Cutting the "environmental" legs out from under the globo-fascists is a life commitment.
It couldn’t have anything to do with government run public schools in Texas producing millions of newly indoctrinated young leftist voters every single year. Like what happens in every state...It must be California.
