In discussing this issue, I have found few know why the natural-born citizenship clause was added to the Presidential Clause in the first place and why it is so important for at least Republicans to know why.

My point is simple—our President is the Commander-in-Chief of the nation’s armed forces. When you stop and realize this one person holds virtually all executive power, and also take into account the vast increase in speed and destructive firepower modern weapons now have over their 18th Century counterparts, you begin to realize just how important this requirement has become in today’s turbulently shrinking world, and how important it is to apply the narrowest of definitions to the “natural-born citizenship” provision rather than standing on the threshold of abandoning it altogether — forever.

I guess it’s too much to ask Marko and Vivek would understand this point as actual natural-born U.S. citizens do.

We know why and we also know that has been totally ignored by the democrats. The whole argument is moot unless/until the Supreme Court decides to tell us what the Founders really meant. Good luck with those clowns.
