Sheriff Joe Arpaio used military tents to house prisoners in the AZ desert. He said that if it was good enough for our soldiers, it was more than good enough for criminals.
They were given bologna sandwiches and could watch either PBS or the weather Channel on TV.
It was too dangerous to escape given the heat, distance without water and the critters in the desert.

Such a shame. Born and raised in California. I grew up in one of the most beautiful places on earth (Tahoe) if I don’t mind saying so. I started a business after college was doing fantastic with Pete Wilson. The economy was insane. I got out when Gumby got erected and thank goodness I did. The writing was on the walls where there were more Spanish road signs than English. Now. Forget it. I still visit family but avoid it aside from that.
