The Army has a history of feeding troops some nasty stuff. I seem to recall reading about “ embalmed beef” that were Army rations during the Civil War.

I’m glad I got my son in although his mother (ex-wife) hated the military and it took a lot of work to get him to join, but he now has his experiences with the Army and the 10th Mountain Division and will have those all his life.
