For what possible good reason.
The kids placed in state-run schools and orphanages ( which are not always orphans but kids with family, but placed due to poverty, neglect, abandonment) are a helpless group for exploitation, as no adult protects them or notices if they disappear.
The Ukes want to accuse Russia of “ kidnapping” these kids, but facts suggest that when a village in eastern oblasts is destroyed, the kids are moved into Russia for protection and guardianship. What better choice in a war?
Do some kids moved into Russia have Ukrainian family that show up and want them back? Yes. Are there prob abuses in Russian orphanages? Prob also yes, though I have personally been in 6-7, they all had staff that cared as best they could with limited resources. One social worker told me the staff brought food from their gardens, but one winter the kids were kept alive with sugar water when supplies failed.
Not really a secret for people who’ve been paying attention.
The question is: How much are Biden, et al., being paid to help facilitate this?

There is no doubt that Ukraine has a history of corruption.
And no doubt that it’s effort to clean up was one of the primary motivators for the war.
If Ukraine were to become a true democracy, with respect for the Rule of Law, to do what would be required of it to join NATO or the EU, it would pose no threat to Russia, but it would be an existential threat to the kleptocrats who currently run Russia.
It makes a lot more sense now why democrat and rino legislooters are so on-boards with ukraine
