It makes on wonder if it was really his and if there was some program that was supposed to disable it remotely but failed.

I think there is a different between an “asset” and an agent.

If you are just an asset, I’m guessing the CIA probably loves it if you incriminating evidence all over the place. It makes you more cooperative

maybe that’s why hunter is called an asset and not an agent. Probably better defined as CIA playboy patsy with Oval office connections, who was leveraged for IC purposes.
