There's always this article: What good can a handgun do against an Army?

"There's always this article: What good can a handgun do against an Army?"

Good and thoughtful read. However, it gives no reference as how to bring the patriots together. The problem as I see it is not the will nor the number of weapons. The problem in this day is communications.

Other than possibly Citizen Band (CB) radios, there are no secure electronic means of comms to coordinate resources and/or missions. Navy Signalmen have an analog means with flags and lights, but what good would that do in places where they don't have such training?

Unless individual cells pop up on their own and carry out their own diverse missions, returning to our Constitutional Republic would be a long bloody effort. Communications is vital. Its a major reason the Allies turned the war in the Atlantic by capturing German Enigma codec machines.

Such a rebellion would probably end badly for the patriots whether clandestine (asymmetrical) or open ground. They will do damage, but the resources of the tyrannical fedgov will find their lairs and/or take their families hostage.

As for me at 74 years, I would be of little use. I have no combat training, not proficient with guns, and treasure my Wife's life above all. I doubt the "big he" would bother to send me to newly built gulags.

The above said, if the SHTF with a real attempt to put down our ever increasing tyranny, I would volunteer to walk point once I knew my Wife was in good hiding. However, I WOULD NOT TARGET THE ENEMY'S FAMILIES unless they targeted me first. Period.

I took an Oath to protect and defend the Constitution.

AN OATH IS FOREVER!
