If he is convicted, I think a one-year sentence would be appropriate, maybe two since he decided to go to trial. If convicted he will likely serve his sentence in a low security prison, which is appropriate.
Based upon sentencing in other similar cases, one year would be appropriate, especially given evidence of HB’s propensity to commit crimes while in the possession of a firearm. If we are going to have the law, it needs to be enforced evenly.

Former High School alum was sentenced to 10 years and served them all for failing to disclose felony conviction on a federal firearms application. He had some other stuff in his history so he deserved it.
