Sigh yourself. As far as the working-class British electorate was concerned, the war was over. They weren't going to be bombed or rocketed anymore. No more blackouts. The overpaid, oversexed Americans could start to go home. And among all the other social issues pushed aside by the war, the coal miners remembered that they hated Churchill.
