It’s not depravity to consider all that Jewish hostages may have been through as hostages of vile, hate-filled Muslims. It certainly wasn’t my first thought when I saw the news. That was a series of thank yous and praise to God!
You don’t have to think about or respond to those remarks about something that is usually assumed about female hostages but often ignored or avoided about male ones.
It’s called sympathy. Some people have it.
