They didn’t forget. Ukraine is WWI , the sequel. It’s by design.

WWIII will feature China and its Muslim and African allies with Russia as bit player.

It’s good too know about the lessons of history and to learn from those lessons.

But how do we apply those lessons of history today.

What is the American vital interest in Ukraine? And since we are all conservatives here, what is the proper conservative view of Ukraine?

The same questions could be applied to Israel and their war against Hamas.

Both of these situations could eventually evolve into Regional Wars. World War 3 could eventually happen because of these conflicts.

If that happens then we could ask what should be the American vital interest and what should be the proper conservative you of those situations.

“quite possibly starting a war with China next.”

And quite possibly with Russia too, Gobbler loves to spend our money on wars, some $200B to the Ukes, now they are using American military items to kill Russians. Add in the coming conflicts with the border stampede from South American countries especially and around the world.

Could be a World War, us against the collective leftist world. And oh yeah, the domestic Civil War that has been brewing for years, ugh what a nightmare to contemplate.

I immediately dismiss out of hand any nonsense from a GOP political leader that is printed as an op-ed piece in the New York Times.

I wonder how all those Americans who died fighting the Germans in WWI and WWII would feel about our cozy relationship with the country they died fighting.

It’s a good thing there’s so many credulous young Christians to go off and fight and die in foreign wars for Globalists. Otherwise Globalists would not be billionaires

“I think I read somewhere the political boundaries of Iraq were drawn up by Churchill - all sorts of countries, were made without regard to political or ethnic considerations.”

Actually they were made in regard to political/ethnic consideration, but for the opposite reason than you’re thinking. Take the Kurds, a very strong group - they were broken up into 4 countries because it would have been impossible to control them if they were together. That’s my understanding of the thinking back then.

As an aside...what is this mcconnell guy’s history of volunteering to serve in the military and fight wars? What is his extended family’s history of doing so? Are his immediate and extended family “wealthy”?

Shall we also not forget the lessons of Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and The Philippines? Just to name a few.

The America-last interventionists, always bring up WWII, but would like you to forget about the lessons of WWI.

Close our border with Mexico, Mitch.

Deport the military age illegals.

Move our cellphone and medication manufacturing back to this country, Mitch.

That's not isolationism, that is rationalism.

Oh, did I mention "Close our border with Mexico, Mitch" yet?

“Mitch forgets the lessons of Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Thousands of US soldiers killed and wounded. Trillions of dollars spent. Totally wasted.”

For those feeding at the public trough it was not totally wasted. The river of money flowing from Washington always has the elected and connected with their heads immersed as deep as they can get them. Every dollar spent has a portion siphoned for illegitimate uses.
