While certainly true as a general rule, it isn’t exactly a high hurdle to jump over - not after 3 generations of coddling kids, to the point where somewhat coddled Baby Boomers are now the grandparents, and they coddled their kids more than they were, etc.
Hard times produce tough men.
Tough men create good times.
Good times produce weak men.
Weak men produce hard times. [You are here].
This is a roughly 80-year cycle - and we are in the pre-WW2 stage of this cycle. God help us, I’m not sure that today’s males (I won’t call most of them “men”) in their 20s and 30s have what it takes to deal with the much tougher men from around the world.
