Hope they never get smart phones down there - they’ll really be in trouble. Yes, the internet has good but also a lot of “bad”. I’m surprised they have the equipment to access the internet; electricity? I think the cell phones are a bigger menace to society - stage a violent event, film it, post it - IMMEDIATE recognition...
Saw some footage this a.m., of illegals crossing the border - with phones. I know the phones may be provided to them but who pays for the service - who gets the bill?
There’s a wonderful movie about people in remote places all over the world watching the Soccer World Cup. In the Sahara they ride a bus, with people hanging off the roof to the only place within hundreds of miles to hook up their tiny black and white TV. I Mongolia they travel on horse back to a Russian guard house. In the Amazon primitive natives sneak through the judge to watch it at an Argentinian guardhouse where the electricity is run by a guy on a bicycle running the generator. Cool movie.
