This reminds me of my mom in 1945 in the Jap camp after she heard about a strange bomb that was dropped on Japan.
“Why only two?”
I know a guy who grew up on Guam. His mother married a US serviceman. His mom had grown up in the Philippeans. When the Japanese invaded in the 1940s they came into their village and lined up the town leaders including her parents. Then they cut their heads off with their Samurai swords. She and the rest of the kids were sent to an orphanage. Eventually she grew up and married the US GI stationed there.
She HATED the Japanese.
