Salem Media Retracts Dinesh D’Souza’s ‘2000 Mules’
Deadline ^ | 06/01/2024 | Ted Johnson

Posted on 06/01/2024 9:38:03 PM PDT by joesbucks

In its statement, Salem said, In publishing the film and the book, we relied on representations made to us by Dinesh D’Souza and True the Vote, Inc. that the individuals depicted in the videos provided to us by TTV, including Mr. Andrews, illegally deposited ballots. We have learned that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has cleared Mr. Andrews of illegal voting activity in connection with the event depicted in 2000 Mules.

Reaching conclusions about things you are ignorant about reflects poorly on you.

If you understood (which you clearly don’t) you would know that the only entity who had any power to do anything about identifying any one of the “2000 Mules” was the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, to whom True The Vote gave all the data to.

Don’t tell me. Tell Salem Media. The findings of the bureau freaked them out so much they pulled distribution of 2000 Mules and issue an apology. In another story I read they paid the “Mule” some cash too.

Ah, you’re too kind. As I’ve said many times, show me the evidence and I’m on board. This film isn’t true evidence. It’s flawed and now removed from market.

LOL!

We just witnessed a "legal system" clown show in the rigged New York "show trial" - and you're posting to us about "election officials" trying to drag the Good Guys into the rigged Georgia "legal system".

Ya effing smoothhead.

Don't tell me - you're like that joescucks guy, who believes that Trump "has had a fair trial".

I believe Trump has had a fair trial. Should I be charged with crimes, I hope I would be treated as well as Trump.

That is Salem Media's issue. If that is how they wished to mitigate any exposure in the lawsuit, that is their business. Stupid, but their business.

What IS phenomenally stupid is:

  1. Accepting at face value the word of someone stuffing ballots in a box that they were doing it for relatives, and the word of their "relatives" that swear by it, especially after the GBI contacted them and was conducting, years after the fact, a "criminal" investigation. The person being investigated: "Yeah. I put a bunch of ballots in the box belonging to my relatives, and I took pictures of my putting the ballots in the box to reassure my relatives that I did indeed put their ballots in the box." That you, or any other person opining on the issue would swallow that whole and regard it as the end of the matter says volumes about the kinds of things you or others might well swallow.

  2. Making conclusions that what happened with that specific person is applicable to others overall, which is what you and others appear to have a fervent, burning wish to do.

That you, Rightwing Conspiratr1, and others absolutely as ignorant as both of you are would accept the "debunking" of "2000 Mules" using "sources" like Mediaite, Factcheck.org, and NPR is not astonishing given your (and others) history of posting.

I admit to being surprised you didn't quote Wikipedia on this, that would be right up your alley.

That you completely side with the likes of "the nonprofit group Protect Democracy" (which is also a huge dark money organization) which also worked on defamation litigation brought by Georgia election workers against the former New York Mayor and Trump ally Rudy Giuliani is not surprising or astonishing either.

Your friends and allies at Protect Democracy are behind this. That is who you support. Either you and Rightwing Conspiratr1 can't be bothered to get off of your fat, lazy asses and scratch the surface, or you fully support them.

After reading your posts for a while now, it is pretty clear that both of you fully support "Protect Democracy".

It is people like you who contribute to the steal of the 2020 election by mindlessly parroting information from these sources that are hard at work to destroy this country.

You and douchebags like Rightwing Conspiratr1 are in all the usual places on this, and I see that Rightwing Conspiratr1 has stuck his putrid head out of a hole to spout off his ignorance again. It has been a while, but he apparently feels safe in the same threads that you frequent.

Yeah. The same Rightwing Conspiratr1 who denied that True The Vote even had GPS data.

That your opinion on this isn't worth a cup of warm spit on this is one thing, and I wouldn't even bother responding to you. But there are other people who may not be as lazy, ignorant, or opinionated at both of you who might accidentally swallow your filth.

Yeah. The same people on this thread who thought it was right and just that D’Souza was convicted of a campaign finance violation some years back are the same people who look at the trial of Trump in New York and conclude that was anything other than politically motivated lawfare.

I will concede that D’Souza did indeed display poor judgement in his campaign finance violation.

He should have known that, while these types of donations are done universally by Democrats and there are never repercussions against them for doing so, when those same types of donations are done by Republicans (or conservatives) there exists an army of Leftists, financed by dark money as the execrable “Protect Democracy” which is ready to jump into the breach and pick up the litigious flag.

D’Souza should have been cognizant of that. But yet, on this forum, we have dumb-asses who would call D’Souza a hardened criminal and demonize him for that.

Those who demonize D’Souza for that (and who support Protect Democracy in its lawsuit against Salem Media, True The Vote, and D’Souza) while being fat-assed keyboard warriors from their mother’s basement are, comparatively speaking, less than the best part that ran out onto the bedsheet.

Protect Democracy (which is as much of a Communist Front Group as any that Joseph McCarthy would have encountered back in his day) but today, as it was back in McCarthy’s times, we have the same communist douchebags, including some in this very forum, who, when they aren’t intellectually capable enough to discern that they are anti-American Communist front groups, wholly endorse and support them.

True the Vote has the GPS data that backs the 2000 Mules claim? Not what THEY said when that data was subpoenaed. =https://apnews.com/article/georgia-elections-true-vote-ballot-stuffing-199113b47bc2df79c63fdf007cd23115 As for you point #1, it wasn’t just the word of Mark Andrews. But you’ll never accept that. As for #2, one is enough. Remember, this film was produced after a previous book revision that had issues. The primary reason Andrews is the sole person is his face was unblurred in some of the trailer. As for Salem, they dumped out at deposition time. You know, when the curtain is pulled back. Seems an odd place to do so. I mean this was the chance to ferret out the real Mark Andrews and his motives, backers and dark secrets. They baled. My guess is they didn’t want exposed their vetting and verification methods. Their motives for wanting this on the market. Or like the Fox/Dominion case, emails with damning evidence. A little too much transparency?

Judge shopping. Merchan had been randomly assigned to supervise the investigative grand jury, and that judges who supervise such probes are then assigned to try any cases that come out of the grand jury. But let’s say he was. Would the rhetoric had been different with any other judge in that district? Remember, anything Trump is involved in is rigged unless he wins.

As for federal v state, the feds did look at it and backed off when they bumped into DOJ standards to not prosecute a sitting president. And they were a bit concerned with Cohen being a key witness because of his credibility issues. Once Trump was out of office, Cy Vance had already began his work on behalf of the state. Vance opened his investigation in 2018. Not Bragg. Bragg took over once Vance left office. And the feds also did not proceed because Barr told them not to. Not sure what that was based on.

Trump had no personal involvement? You know this how? You were there?

Let’s also not forget that in 2018, Trump attorney Tacopina had called the hush-money payment "an illegal agreement", "a fraud", and "a potential campaign finance issue".

Hey dumbass, did you even read your own article YOU linked to?

Did you? Of course you didn’t.

Like most Leftists, you parrot what the likes of AP, Reuters, Wikipedia, Factcheck.org and Mediaite tell you.

Here is a clue-check-go to that article and read it. Follow your own link. Actually read it. Then, if you don’t see the acronym GPS in there when you read it (if you read it) you can word-search for it, just to be doubly sure.

Tell us all if you find any reference to GPS. If you still don’t believe me, try looking for “Global” or “Positioning” just to be sure.

Did you find it? We are all waiting with bated breath.

I’ll tell everyone on the thread: “No, I joesbucks didn’t find it.”

Do you know why you didn’t find it? Because it isn’t there.

There is no reference to GPS data.

I will tell you for the benefit of people on this thread who depend on the likes of you to make their argument for them:

Your idiotic reference to a completely Leftist news source (AP for the uninitiated) in which its OWN AP article made oblique reference to the results of a lawfare suit against True The Vote from ITS OWN PREVIOUS AP article from last summer where True The Vote was being asked to provide identities of people whom they interviewed, and True The Vote declined to do so because compromising their identity would certainly result in harm to them.

Additionally, they gave ALL their data to GBI, and that was the last they ever heard of it. Nothing was done with it by the corrupt GBI, who ONLY looked at ANYTHING when they were engaged in the Andrews lawsuit. Years later.

So to douchebags like you, when the people filing the lawsuit wanted the names of confidential sources and were told they WOULD not release the identities because of real or significant potential harm.

Neither COULD they release the names, identities, or any other information about citizens they surveilled engaging in illegal activity because they COULD not, that was ONLY up the Georgia Bureau of Investigation who had the power, the right, and the subpoena tools to OBTAIN from the cell phone vendors the identities of the people who owned those phones.

We all remember back in the early Fifties when Senator Joseph McCarthy trampled all over the rights of American Citizens, rashly accusing them of crimes, and revealing their hidden identities in public hearings, and what a fascist miscarriage of justice that was, and...

Oh, wait. It didn’t really happen that way, did it?

What really happened was that Senator Joseph McCarthy was badgered incessantly, dozens, if not hundreds of times by Democrats and the Media, both in and out of the hearings, to “Name the Names”. McCarthy refused repeatedly to “Name the Names” since it would brand individuals as criminals and soil their reputations in public, and the Democrats FORCED him to release the names of the people associated with his masked cases of Communist subversives. (in which he was proven correct, in nearly EVERY case in which subsequent evidence was available)

The point was, the Democrats and Leftists in committee, government, and media weren’t in the least bit interested in ameliorating the risk of Communists in the government. They were already fighting the battle in the arena of public opinion, and succeeding brilliantly, a tactic they have sharpened and expanded to this day. They were attacking the messenger of an illegality.

Aided and abetted by Marxists and Useful Idiots.

Like you.

Same kind of Leftist trampling of citizen’s rights and safety YOU apparently support when you swallow the “no proof” trumpeted by those sources the Left engages as a matter of course when they wish to soil someone’s reputation and destroy their message.

Which you, to nobody’s surprise, completely support.

Just a clue check for you in the future: Better to keep your mouth shut and let people THINK you might be an anti-American Leftist stooge ignoramus, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Frustrated by the group’s refusal to share evidence, Georgia officials took it to court last year. A judge ordered True the Vote to turn over names and contact information for anyone who had provided information, as well as any recordings, transcripts, witness statements or other documents supporting its allegations. The group came up empty-handed despite having “made every additional reasonable effort to locate responsive items,” its attorneys David Oles and Michael Wynne wrote in a Dec. 11 legal filing first reported Wednesday by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Other documents doesn’t include the gps data? If not, why not?

“Dinesh saw his big break when he managed to get Sam Francis fired from the Washington Times.”

Betraying the old Right was a path to winning favor with the MSM and Neocon publishers.

And while many here won’t remember Sam Francis, Francis was basically the political theorist behind MAGA and he was doing it back in the 1990s.

Dinesh imitated David Frum’s tactic of smearing people on the Right as racist, and to top it off he did that while plagiarizing their writing. Simon & Schuster pulped his “The End of Racism” when he got caught and he had to rewrite it.

GPS data was a big part of what was what was claimed as a big key on how they made their case . GPS information is what cell phones emit to allow tracking on information.

“I don’t believe the premise of 2000 Mules. It has the honesty of a Michael Moore documentary. Thats my opinion anyway. You can have a different one.”

I was listening to Glenn Beck’s show one morning when he had Dinesh on as a guest and Beck asked him directly if there was hard evidence that any of the ballots shown in 2000 Mules were fraudulent.

Dinesh told Beck that no, there was no proof. But there was the appearance of fraud and that authorities needed to launch an investigation. Those were Dinesh’s own words on Beck’s radio program for all to hear.

People who believe that 2000 Mules is proof of fraud are going beyond what Dinesh says when he is pressed on the issue by a sympathetic interrogator, which Beck certainly is. I give Beck credit for asking the hard question instead of just accepting the 2000 Mules claims at face value.
