Salem Apologizes, Retracts Dinesh D’Souza’s Debunked Election Fraud Movie ‘2000 Mules’
Mediaite ^

Posted on 06/01/2024 11:04:58 AM PDT by GulliverSwift

Dinesh D’Souza’s movie that sought to prove former President Donald Trump’s fantasy that the 2020 election was stolen from him by widespread fraud has been debunked time and time again. Now, years after its release, its executive producer is retracting the film entirely.

Following the 2020 election, D’Souza released 2000 Mules as an attempt to justify Trump’s loss to President Joe Biden. Trump famously held a screening of the movie at his Mar-a-Lago estate and MAGA supporters promoted the film during it’s release in May 2022.

The film was produced by Salem Media Group, a conservative radio juggernaut that airs the likes of Sebastian Gorka and Charlie Kirk.

In a new statement, Salem apologized for the film and said it would cease distributing it. The move came after a man featured in the movie sued Salem for defamation.

The movie featured video showing the man, Mark Andrews, putting five ballots in a drop box in Lawrenceville, Georgia in 2020. D’Souza falsely claimed in the film that Andrews’ actions were criminal, describing the votes as “fraudulent.”

The statement from Salem blamed D’Souza for the smear.

“In publishing the film and the book, we relied on representations made to us by Dinesh D’Souza and True the Vote, Inc. (‘TTV’) that the individuals depicted in the videos provided to us by TTV, including Mr. Andrews, illegally deposited ballots,” the company said in a statement. “We have learned that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has cleared Mr. Andrews of illegal voting activity in connection with the event depicted in 2000 Mules.”

That is just a list of news articles with a headline summary for each. You need to have a written argument making specific assertions with specific people quoted for it to be legitimate in court.

Like Judge Merchan's court? Yeah, *FACTS* really matter in liberal courts.

A normal conservative thinks courts are seriously compromised and doesn't trust them because too many times has it been proven that they are very very biased and do not concern themselves with actual evidence or facts.

I couldn’t find anything on there about who the authors are.

You just said it is a list of news articles. You couldn't find the names of the authors of each news article? Sounds like you didn't even try.

More proof that you aren't interested in "facts" as you claim, you just want to keep pushing your emotions on us.

Had you been keeping up with all the postings on Free Republic regarding the 2020 election fraud, you would have seen more than enough evidence to convince any reasonable rational person that the election was stolen.

Even the 2022 election in Arizona is proof that the election was stolen, because they DID IT AGAIN!

You just aren't interested in any proof that doesn't fit your emotions.

I get it. You are one of those ignoramuses like the bleating seals in the media that insisted there was no way GPS is accurate enough to distinguish between a car passing on a highway or one pulling into a dropbox location.

"...The correct approach was to publicize the footage and then ask law enforcement to investigate..."

The "footage" was public. You had to ask for it. Also, I wouldn't expect you to know, but they gave all the data to the corrupt Georgia Bureau of Investigation who sat on it for two years and did nothing with it.

LOL, oh, it is absolutely true that loads of people said they debunked it, and scores of ignorant and lazy people just like you lapped it up and swallowed it hook line and sinker by saying “that settles it”.

When boxes are first processed, they are put into a sorting machine which notes the date and time that it began and completed plus the location the ballots were received. Each step of the ballot process is put onto the internet so that voters can see where their ballot is at any given step of the process. The ballots of the individuals Andrews claimed to have submitted were not found to have been submitted in a different way from his account. Had they been, you can be assured that Dinesh’s distributor would have used it and publicized it.

Where are the debunkings of the debunkings? Show me those. They do not exist.

Your statement is unsubstantiated conjecture.

As is the claim he was doing it for "Family Members." I've seen no proof that this is true, but for some reason you want to swallow this claim without proof.

It would be laughed at in court if it were presented as evidence.

I dare say you will not likely find anyone on Free Republic that has a greater contempt for the court system than myself. Our court system has long ago become very dysfunctional and the law means whatever the Judge wants it to mean at any given time.

It is unfair, biased, and mostly incompetent.

Years ago I heard on the radio an account of a man who having spent 17 years in prison being exonerate by DNA analysis. His DNA did not match that of the perpetrator, and he was therefore *NOT* the criminal. They convicted the wrong man.

Upon hearing this, I asked myself, "If the man didn't do it, how in hell did they prove he did?"

It should be impossible to "prove" a man committed a crime that he did not actually commit, yet here we have courts, time and again bungling trials and convicting innocent people of crimes.

If people respect "courts" and "judges", then they simply have no idea how incompetent and dysfunctional these institutions really are.

There are many different possible reasons for them to have behaved the way they did.

All of them highly improbable but one. The man was taking pictures to prove to his paymaster that he did it. That's the only one that makes sense of the event.

You can easily verify that many people debunked 2000 Mules.

You can find out many liars *CLAIM* they "debunked" it, but they are all likely his political enemies, and so nothing they say can be accepted at face value.

He said specific things and they have all been examined.

By who? His enemies? You just want to believe what you want to believe. You don't seem to engage in critical or even honest thinking.

Debunking one item among thousands of points in a documentary doesn’t debunk most or all of the movie.

But yeah, all the focus should have been explaining what lawfare is and how it is used rather than focus on the ballot stuffing that resulted from it.

Neither you nor Dinesh has ever responded to them point-by-point, as they did to him.

If you cannot debunk the debunkers, then their points stand. They made mincemeat of his statements. If you doubt that, you need to review their criticisms and refute them before your opinions about the critiques could be considered worth anything.

Dominion Voting Machine In Action:

"It'll even scan a batch of blank ballots and vote for whoever you tell it to"

For example: You can collect 960 mailed in ballots for Trump, and [administratively] mess them up enough to *force 'adjudication'* and then shred/trash those Trump ballots . . . and then substitute 960 pre-printed blank ballots and "administratively adjudicate" the blanks, for Biden.

Ohio Volunteers Uncover Massive Irregularities in Voter Database - 03/23/2024
Article in American Thinker, by Jack Gleason
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4226320/posts

  • 58,209 resided in an apartment or in a mobile home lot but had no unit number as required on their voter registration application to ensure proper delivery of mail, including mail-in ballot material.

  • 4,143 were older than the oldest person in the U.S. at the time or were too young to legally register.

  • 6,348 had a date of birth that was different in 2022 than it was in 2020.

  • 253,486 voters supposedly registered on January 1st, 84,221 voters registered on another Federal holiday and 201,693 voters registered on Sunday -- all times when Ohio boards of elections and state offices are closed.

  • 120,094 had registration dates in the 2022 state voter file that were earlier than their registration date in the 2020 file.

  • 59,025 people were listed as registering to vote before they were born.

  • 243,583 had state identification numbers that had changed since 2020, even though federal laws require each voter be issued "a unique state identifier."

  • 34,233 had 2 to 5 registration records with different state identification numbers, making it possible for them to vote more than once.

I think we should set the limit on when the baby can feel pain approximately 15 weeks. Anything beyond that is barbaric.
But we have to accept that if we advocate for no abortion or no early abortion we will get severe pushback and wind up with no limits and viable babies will be slaughtered.
