Have a wonderful movie review, Perfect Days, a beautifully done Japanese movie. Very introspective and calming.
This film offers a captivating exploration of the quiet and introspective life of Hirayama, a humble toilet cleaner in the bustling city of Tokyo. Through its deliberate minimalism, the movie invites viewers to immerse themselves in the enigmatic world of its characters. Notably, very little is explicitly revealed about each character, sparking curiosity about their inner lives and motivations.
At its core, the film beautifully portrays how solitude can yield unexpected treasures of joy, inner peace, and resilience. Hirayama's profound connection with nature, his unwavering love for books, and his soulful appreciation of music become his trusted companions, infusing his life with a unique sense of fulfillment.
One of the film's strengths lies in its ability to convey so much with so little dialogue. It relies on subtle gestures, the rhythm of daily routines, and the power of observation to communicate its message. In the absence of extensive character exposition, the audience is encouraged to draw their own conclusions and immerse themselves in the silent world of the characters.
The film's cinematography and direction further enhance the viewing experience, with scenes that invite contemplation and reflection. The soundtrack, if present, complements the narrative seamlessly, evoking emotions that resonate with the film's themes.
As I watched 'Hirayama's Journey,' I couldn't help but reflect on the enduring beauty of simplicity and the profound impact of solitary moments. It serves as a reminder that even in the most unassuming lives, there exists a world of wonder and wisdom waiting to be discovered.

Actually, that movie was done by Wim Wenders, who is German. I enjoyed it very much, as well

There will be no justice in this life for these people, will there. It makes me so very angry.
