Conservatives have been on a non-stop losing streak ever since Paul Ryan threw the House in 2018. The mere fact that everything depends on Donald Trump is a sign of huge weakness. There should be a dozen determined and capable candidates ready to step in at a moment’s notice, no matter what happens to Trump. But I can’t actually name one at the moment.
