Today we join efforts to reduce the stigma around periods & work towards menstrual equity. City Hall will light up red & display the period flag on our community flagpole.

Years ago, if I, a man, had lightly suggested to a woman that she should create her own menstrual flag and fly it high, that lady would have been highly insulted at my crude, lewd and rude behavior. There are still women who would not like the idea at all. I suspect the majority wouldn’t.
Why does everything seem to need a flag now?
