Very possible his lawyers were paid by the DNC to do a bad job.
A mistake in my opinion was not putting Trump on the stand. I’m not sure who had the upper hand in that decision. My guess is him. Had he had the discipline to stay on task and truthfully answer the questions, there would have been nobody better to possibly dismantle the states case and evidence. The witch hunt stuff wouldn’t have played well, but honest answers likely would have. Especially after his defense witness didn’t do so well under cross. There is no one as charming & charismatic as Trump when he turns it on. I really believe it was in his hands to turn the case had he chose to do so had he been able to tell his side of the events had the truth truly been on his side.
