I wasn’t going to bring up DeSantis today, but since others have brought him up, I’ll share some thoughts I had, after the verdict was announced. I was struck by all the slings and arrows Trump has faced, how resilient he is, and how quickly DeSantis would have crumbled had he faced even one of the lawfare indictments Trump has had to face.

Ignore for the moment, that he couldn’t have afforded the legal expense. Anybody who thinks DeSantis has the smarts, the fortitude, or the leadership ability to have politically survived such an onslaught, is kidding himself.

Trump is the only one who has even a remote chance of taking on the deep state. That’s why many of us were so critical of the great pretender (AKA Mini-MAGA). Ron wanted to derail the MAGA movement by replacing its leader and leading the movement back into the hands of the establishment like a modern day Pied Piper. He tried to co-opt the movement in the same way the Tea Party movement was co-opted. And no, he didn’t do it as a backup plan, just in case Trump was prevented from running. He counted on Trump being taken out. DeSantis played Mr. Populist on the easy, inconsequential stuff and refused to take a stand against the things that matter most, such as election fraud.

With the help of his RINO backers, he tried to pretend he was the leader that Trump is, hoping people would be too gullible to see how much of an illusion his highly orchestrated leadership as governor has been.

Wrong. DeSantis has stood tough for our ideas and policies. He could easily withstand these midgets.

Very well said. Emotions are running so high presently it is rewarding to see your post. The underlying hate from posters who have been aggressively Never Trump is still present. They have posted here yesterday and managed to bring out words and sentiments in me I normally don’t give in to.

I live in Florida. Love it. Love my state. Ron owes his career to Donald Trump who saved his candidacy from ruin. The mood in my part of this state is Ron stabbed Trump in the back by running and how he ran during the primary. And no matter the PR Ron puts either through statements or “Conservative” actions, his image is not going to be changed. Once a snake.....

That’s just the mood I’m seeing. Granted not everybody feels this way, but its obvious enough of a percentage to force Ron into a campaign to rehab his image. That’s my opinion anyway.

The greater issue here is the loss of the country. We are at the edge of a cliff. The ground under foot is giving way. If the Democrats and their Rino friends in the GOP are successful with lawfare, imagine what they will do next. To any politician who stands up against them. To You. To me. To our children.

Your entire post is just factually wrong.
