I’m guessing Merchan will attempt to humiliate President Trump somehow. Maybe ankle bracelet, turn in passport, something like that.
But if he sends him to jail right away there’s gonna be trouble, and he knows it. So I don’t think he’ll do that.
Likely Trump will be ordered to surrender his passport today.
Likely Trump will be ordered not to leave New York.
Likely Trump will be taken into custody tomorrow while the judge creates the sentencing judgement.
That could mean jail until Monday until they figure out where to place him and/or fine him.
