I don’t believe he should even have to be there. I’m not a lawyer, so why is it mandatory for Trump to be in that frickin’ court building?
Is it because the jury could return at any time?

I’m not a lawyer, either, but I think there’s a legal term for kidnapping. Maybe ... “Unlawful confinement is the illegal act of keeping someone in a place against their will.”
Can a judge be guilty of this crime?
Merchan wants to remand Trump into custody as soon as the guilty verdict comes in.
If the jury reaches a verdict he has to be present at the reading.
But, he could be told that he can remain in NYC and return when the jury ha reached a verdict.
This is a rogue judge. And he better think long and hard about getting out of the country after Trump is elected.
He has the “right” to be present in the courtroom for any proceedings, including hearing jurists’ requests and judge’s answers.
Yesterday trump would have returned to the building twice. I think that would piss him off even more. It would me. So far today, the jury hasn’t asked for anything so far.
