That's painfully wrong and stupid. Hamas isn't chanting "we want our own nation." They are chanting "death to the Jews." Creating a faux "state" will just enable them in their real, and openly stated, goal.
I suspect these pro-Hamas folks know that perfectly well too. How any Jew can vote with them at this point is beyond me.

I’d make Gaza its own country. Let’s see how it does. Israel would no longer be responsible for the slackers. Israel would save a ton of money. How long does Israel have to support the Palestinians who won’t improve themselves?
