The longer the jury deliberates the better the chance for a hung jury.

By the Instructions to the Jury it is apparent that the jurors need to each "find" Trump guilty of something. It can likely be anything the jurors can individually think of, like the way his hair looks. They all just have to say guilty about anything at all. Probably "He must be guilty of something but I don't know what...so I vote guilty."

Seems its important to remember Judge Merchan grew up in a Third World Country; Columbia.

Some of the judges in Colombia were heroic, doing the right thing even as the Medellin Cartel was knocking them off. Perhaps it is telling that Merchan WASN'T knocked off.

Guess they don’t know their history. I am not making a comparison with Hitler except to the point that Hitler became more powerful than they ever thought possible when they put him in jail.

Most likely one or more jurors are holding out and somebody is trying to bully them into following Merchans insane instructions. The prosecution never said what the underlying crime was. How does a defendant defend if he doesn’t know what he is accused of and the jury can simply pick anything on the buffet table. There is a basic due process problem here and Merchan’s instructions have only made it worse. I still expect a conviction but the longer it goes the better Trump’s chances are. It will however be very hard if there are only one or two holdouts because everyone probably wants to go home by this point.
