This plays right into the Democrats gripes. If the Supreme Court intercedes and acquits Trump, the Democrats will contend Trump is illegitimate and was protected by the SCOTUS. Democrats always have to blame something else for their failures. It’s never their fault.

The Democrat sliming of the Supreme Court after they stopped the recounts in Dec. 2000 had an effect. The courts were afraid to do anything about election fraud in 2020. So they are unlikely to stick out their necks for Trump in 2024. Particularly not John Roberts.

The Democrats must have been confident that the verdict in the Bragg case would not be overturned before the election or it would hardly have been worth having the trial.

That’s the REAL reason the DemonRats are going after Alito NOW, not to circumvent any immunity issues but to STOP them from ruling in favor of the rule of law vs. Juan Mechan.
