There is a possibility — remote, given that it’s New York, but still a possibility — of an honest and intelligent juror, which would produce a hung jury.
If I had to bet, I’d bet on a conviction. Trump will eventually win on appeal, but the dems will get their headline.
My question has to do with the exact proceedings after the judge announces the (likely) guilty verdict. Can Trump appeal prior to sentencing, or can the judge move immediately to sentencing? If Trump appeals at that stage, can the judge deem him a flight risk and order him held, or send him to prison pending the appeal?
The democrat base and democrat media desperately want Trump to be imprisoned. And if they can have him imprisoned through the election, the lunatics will not flinch from that. At this point, there is no reason to expect the slightest trace of integrity from this corrupt judge.
I’m sorry to disagree, but did you hear the instructions from the corrupt Columbia immigrant judge? Four-four-four, all you need is one set a four to convict . To me that is an impossibility that God can do a miracle in the situation where evil reigns. These people are evil, and unless God saps the courthouse, and the judge right now then I say trump has no chance. If you have 4DTS jurors there he’s cooked.

I’m believing in faith that the Spirit of GOD will replace the heart of stone of juror(s) with a heart of flesh, and convict their conscience to acquit, or at least hang the jury.
However... should there be a conviction followed by a jail sentence of a President who happens to be also a candidate in the election five short months away... and should there be any attempt to actually jail President Trump... I believe that would rocket the matter out of the hands of any state appeals court straight into the Supreme Court on an emergency basis.

This is a common but completely false troupe around here. There is nothing in the statute requiring conviction of an underlying crime. There’s nothing in the statute that even requires the defendant to be the one committing the underlying crime, or even requires the EXISTENCE of an underlying crime. If I cook corporate books because you’re going to embezzle funds and I want to hide it, but then you chicken out and don’t do it, I’d still be guilty of the felony falsification of business records because it was my intent to cover up a crime.
All that the jurors are allowed to disagree on is which specific crime they believe Trump was trying to hide. All 12 have to still believe he was hiding A crime.
