One thing I heard that does make sense is that if there's a “rogue” juror who leans toward “not guilty” that person would know that he/she would experience huge problems from TDS types for hanging the jury.

Isn’t there laws about fellow jurist revealing how the others ruled? In a high profile trial, a verdict holdout’s identity, if revealed, could be a threat to their life.
