and the compressors will be even smaller, run ALL the time and burn out even sooner, thus requiring the entire unit to be thrown out and a newly manufactured one purchased every five years or so, AND none of that will be included in the TOTAL lifetime energy cost of the unit ...

If your AC is out, you can leave the frig door open to cool the house, right?

I do that with the stove in the winter, to heat things.
