It was a great speech and put Libertarians in a spot: Get 3% or vote for Trump. He even asked them to nominate him!
It occurs to me that a truly Libertarian view towards the vaxxes should be neither pro nor con but simply anti-mandate. Whether they believe the vaxxes are safe or not, Libertarians support medical freedom, which means the freedom to make both good and bad decisions. They support right to try when it comes to experimental and untested drugs, so if they want to be consistent, they should support freedom to take the vaxx and freedom to not take the vaxx. I’m not sure whether or not most of them actually hold that position.
