We name lots of ships after battles that we won, not necessarily naval battles, like Saratoga and Ticonderoga, and Coral Sea, all the names of aircraft carriers.

I went to Matamoros it wasn’t so bad, but that was 40 years ago; I don’t hear anything good about the place nowadays.
