Although your points are well taken, there are people that would consider voting for Trump if he picked a favorite of there’s as VP. For example, I know a guy that was a avid DeSantis supporter who would likely only get off his az and vote for Trump if he picked him as Veep.
Personally that’s just crazy in my mind but I think one might be surprised at how common people using criteria like that to make of their mind on a given candidate.
Confessing here that I couldn’t stand the thought of casting my vote for John McCain, I so disliked the man. When he picked Sarah Palin to be his running mate, it’s the only reason I did vote for him, because of her. And I think there were many others just like me. And the same would hold true in the case of who Trump picks. There are a lot of people who so dislike Trump, but would go and vote for him based on his choice of running mate.
