Corbyn was expelled from the Labour Party for anti-semitism, so he’s on his own as an independent, and could never raise the money for a national campaign. Oh, and the proportion in the last census was c. 6%.

In 2021, it was 6.7% in England and Wales, and 15% in London.

In spite of Brexit, significant emigration to England has continued, and the Muslim birth rate is higher than average.

Curiously, almost every northern European country stopped counting their Muslims after the 2020 Census reported shocking increases.
