Really. What’s in it for us? Ukraine is not really our ally. They can’t even be bothered to vote with us on an anti-Israel UN resolution. We sure don’t get much for our money.

We get a lot more than you think.

The feds have black sites and bio/chem labs in the Ukraine. The Ukraine’s biggest exports to us are pig iron, pipes, sunflower seeds, juices and soybeans. In 2019, of the $1.3 billion in U.S. imports from Ukraine, the top commodity sectors were Base metals (59.0%), Agriculture products (12.0%), and Machinery and Mechanical Appliances (9.5%). It has shrunk some as of 2022, but it still is high.
