the arrangement of funds to the super PAC, rather than directly to Trump, was set up to relieve worries that the money would simply pay the former president’s legal bills.

Thank you, Ron. That's mighty white of you.

This may not be politically wise but if DJT picked DeSantis for VP we would have 12 years of conservatism.

C’mon man, it’s AP saying that, we should know better than to assume any dig from the disloyal opposition.

It was a joke, but you come on. It’s one of the donors saying as much in the last line. Seriously Ron raised $3m. Ok but Trump raised $50.5m at his last Florida fundraiser. DeSanti’s fundraising abilities may be greatly exagerrated as most of the donors have already moved to Trump. Every little bit helps I guess. And on the question of where the money goes and we must not help pay any of Trump’s legal fees, how do we know a PAC is going to spend the $3m on Trump and not their expenses or legal fees or let half of it just sit there unused and flipped to another PAC as we have seen done before.

Case in point:

CNN

The Florida political committee once controlled by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis transferred $82.5 million last month to a super PAC supporting his presidential campaign, according to information posted to the committee’s website.

The shift of the funds has been anticipated ever since DeSantis entered the race with tens of millions of dollars left over from his 2022 reelection bid. However, the move nevertheless makes official an unprecedented effort by DeSantis allies to test the limits of campaign finance laws to benefit a presidential contender.

The Campaign Legal Center, a watchdog group, has already filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commision, flagging the expected transfer as potentially illegal. The organization alleges that DeSantis had unlawfully directed the money into a super PAC, Never Back Down, which is supposed to operate independently of candidates.

Y’know... Trump has been well able to fundraise on the strength of his own name and record. But after all the acrimony of the Primary season, to have DeSantis bring a cool three million to the table out of just a couple dozen donors...

I’d say that’s a helluv an olive branch.

I give DeSantis due respect for pulling it together, and I give Trump due respect for accepting it with warmth and grace.

I hope their tumultuous relationship is mending. Florida has been served well by DeSantis and would do well to keep him in the Governor’s Mansion as long as possible, but this country is going to need a Conservative to carry the torch come 2028, and DeSantis oughta be on the list of contenders.

if it is really an honest campaign contribution and not some sort of chuck and dive, then GOOD GOOD for DeSantis he is finally getting back on board

and I won’t belittle $3million, it is worthwhile money even with McDonald’s and the grocery store adopting Biden pricing

Only $3 Million?
The most poplar Governor in the Country can only raise $3 Million?
What a joke.

Thank you, Ron. That's mighty white of you.

Well, Trump does actually need money to campaign on.

Right For America is led by Ike Perlmutter. All the Board Members are members of the Mar-a-Lago Golf Club.

The Super Pac has Trump's blessing.

So, yes, this actually was "mighty white" of DeSantis.

Would you have preferred he raised nothing at all?

“Ron, I love that you’re back,” Trump said Thursday over the phone during the event, according to sources reported by the lying Communist at Associated Press.

I bet Trump was thinking, "Ron, you stabbed me in the back".

He’s being a Team Player.

I recall when all the corporate dweebs and hacks use to say that to the rank and file. What it really meant was work harder for less and no complaints.
