It is preposterous.

But the Left has used it as a weapon to increase their power and block any sort of self-assertion by European-origin people on any measure in our own countries.

We have seen since Oct 7 that it was always just a tactic. The decades-long taboo against collective criticism of Jews (and not just “Zionism” or Israel) has been completely shattered.

But the Left is so powerful now that it no longer needs the spectre or shadow of the Holocaust to suppress White or European identity.

But the Left is set only as long as the current Regimes last. Once they fall, anything is possible.

You have mental problems, I think.

I mean it, not just gainsaying.

Good thinking, Ivan. Now that you are down to zero aircraft carriers, you have become invincible. I see you are applying this strategy of invincibility to tanks and other armored vehicles, to air defense systems, to the Black fleet, and to military-age men.

“This war was started by us in October 2021 with our NATO move.”

- - - -

You have been misinformed.
Russia started this war by invading Crimea in 2014. There is no discussion about this.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

“What is left is a very grim reality and future for Ukraine”

- - - -

No.
The future of Ukraine is : full membership within the EU and NATO.
It’s what the vast majority of the Ukrainian people yearn for.
That is Ukraine’s future, it won’t end in any other way.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

“And who is in a “forever war?” Since 1991 we (the US)...”

- - - -

The 1991 Iraq was started by Saddam Hussein. He illegally annexed Kuwait.
America liberated Kuwait (with many allies, especially the French Foreign Legion, and excellent UK troops.

The Afghanistan war was started by Al Qaida and their Taliban friends.
They attacked the Twin Towers and the Pentagon and downed 4 passenger planes.

The Vietnam / Korea wars were started by Russian backed Communists as they invaded our allies in that region.

The Yugoslavia war was started by Russia-backed Serbian Milosevic who started a purge-like horror show in a large part of Europe.

America has not annexed Serbia.
America had not annexed Iraq.
America has not annexed Kuwait.
America has not annexed Afghanistan.
America has not annexed Vietnam.
America has not annexed Korea.

America never even thought of annexing any of those countries. Period.

Russia however... is starting wars everywhere in order to annex and make anything they take permanently RUSSIAN!

Rather recently :
Russia annexed parts of Georgia.
Russia annexed parts of Moldova.
Russia annexed Crimea
Russia annexed areas in the Donbas and other places in Crimea.
Russia has corrupted Niger’s government in order to replace US troops with Wagner there. And in other African “countries”.
Russia use their Iran/Hamas proxies to destabilize Israel and in doing so are easing the pressure on the Ukrainian frontlines. A typical diversion technique.
Russia is helping Azerbaijan against our Armenia allies.

And...
Communist China is threatening to invade and ANNEX Taiwan and the Philippines.

What is America ANNEXING?? Niet, Zero, Nada.
Right?

The real deep-state warlords are in the Kremlin. They are a bunch of for-ever war fanatics allied to America’s worst communists and islamist enemies : North Korea, Russia, Iran/Hamas, China.

2. It showed them we could get luxuries to the front lines which meant we were unstoppable logistically.

I always think of the "Battle of Bulge" movie, where the German Panzer leader notes that the Americans have chocolate cake, “We do not have fuel to move our Panzers (tanks) across the field. The Americans have fuel enough to fly chocolate cake across the ocean. There is no way we can defeat them.”

“Sorry to say. But the Soviets carried the day during WWII. They did need a lot of help from the U.S. due to logistics. But D-Day Invasion was nothing. All the action was on the Eastern Front. “

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

True.
Unfortunately Russia carried the day for their own selfish interest. They invaded half of Europe and made conquered eastern European citizens endure abominable KBG-rule for decades, until 1991.

Russia imposed Stalin’s “International” Socialism instead of Hitler’s “National Socialism”. I don’t see any difference.
Thus, Russia did absolutely nothing to liberate Europe. It just took half of it.

America on the other hand TRULY liberated the other half of Europe and established free trade - making Europe’s and Americas economies Great Again.
Europe made America an economic super power in the aftermath of WWII. It definitely killed America’s Great Depression.

LOL!! It must be because I've been here 26 years. I'll have to apply to Jim for disability benefits because long-term membership on Free Republic gives people mental problems, or so says ifinnegan. Thanks for your analysis Dr. Freud, but please don't send me a bill.

Thanks for your comment. If Hitler hadn’t stabbed Stalin in the back and double-crossed him with the non-aggression treaty, WWII might have ended a whole lot differently. But even with that, both men were extremely arrogant, and would have been at logger-heads over territory, and war between the two would have likely taken place anyway. Makes you wonder if the U.S. would have gotten involved.

Using your “logic” in boasting that Russia having no aircraft carriers is in better shape than the US having 11 super-carriers and another 9 amphibious assault ships (”small” aircraft carriers).

Russia simply doesn’t have the economic base to sustain much of a military.

US + other NATO countries have 1 billion people and a combined GDP of $50 trillion.

Russia has 150 million people and a GDP of $2 trillion.

Things are WAY different from the days I was in the army. Back then the Soviet Union + Warsaw Pact had rough parity with the US + NATO.

Where did I say Russia? I was talking about the U.S. You mentioned U.S. carriers in your initial comment. Why would you think I'd be talking about Russia?

A lot of old timers seem to have gone Putin crazy.

If you’ve been here since 1997 you must remember when everyone was actually anti-communist.

You sound like you are more loyal to Russia than the US.

Now it’s like Code Pink has a nest here.

Here’s your statement that made me think you have mental illness.

“ The Russians were still the first ones to enter Berlin. And why shouldn’t they have been? Germany never invaded the U.S.”

"If you’ve been here since 1997 you must remember when everyone was actually anti-communist."

I was born in 1947, grew up in the 50's and 60's, with air raids and the threat of nuclear attack every day. I believe the government made everything worse because of the propaganda they spewed. They wanted people living in fear, just like they wanted people living in fear over Covid. This is the same country that hired known Nazi war criminals, murderers of men, women and children, and used them to gather intelligence on our enemies. The whole thing was a big joke, because the Nazis set the rules, told the CIA how they were going to operate, not the other way around. They hired SS, SD, and former German police as agents when it was specifically forbidden, and they were allowed to conduct their own witch hunts, help fellow Nazis escape to other countries, etc., all without the knowledge of their so-called CIA handlers.

The CIA didn't even know the names of the Nazis that the Nazis hired. The CIA had made it one of the stipulations for them to be approved, but when the Nazis rejected it, the CIA gave them the green light anyway.

Reinhard Gehlen, former Wehrmacht intelligence officer was one of the Nazi spy ring leaders. He cut a deal with the government to protect him from being prosecuted for war crimes in exchange for becoming a spy. He was given the autonomy to run his spy ring without interference. By the end of 1946, he had funding for his org, and had 350 Nazis officers working for him, many of whom were known war criminals. What could go wrong? The CIA gave his group $5 million dollars a year to run on. One of the CIA agents overseeing Gehlen's org as it was called wrote to headquarters: "American intelligence is a rich blind man using [the Gehlen Org] as a seeing-eye dog. The only trouble is...the leash is much too long." And headquarters ignored him.

I'm currently reading a book about the paid Nazi mercenaries under the guidance of the CIA. Gehlen and his group is one of the main subjects of the book. Here's an article if you're interested in learning more about Gehlen and the CIA's role in his corrupt spy org:

Meet Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler’s Favorite Spy Who Used CIA Resources To Free Nazi War Criminals

LOL!! I find it hilarious that you think I'm pro-Russian because I said they should have been allowed to enter Berlin first, because Germany never invaded the U.S. Had Germany invaded the U.S. first before Russia, then the U.S. should have entered Berlin first. Russia never invaded Germany either until Hitler invaded Russia, which was done after Hitler broke the non-aggression treaty he had made with Stalin. I didn't make the decision to let Russia take Berlin. Wiser people than me made that decision, but I agree with it.

I don't give a crap about Russia or Ukraine. They can destroy themselves for all I care. I care about my country, and its borders. What I despise is sending unending, and unaccounted-for tax payer dollars to Ukraine to fight yet another proxy war with Russia. We've been fighting proxy wars with Russia and China for 71 years, ever since the Korean War. The only individuals that benefit from these proxy wars are the people who have investments in the military industrial complex, and in this country, that includes politicians from both sides of the aisle.

Ukraine is the size of Texas, sits 5,000 miles away, and is of no national security interest to this country. We have Democrats deliberately overrunning our country with illegals, trying very hard to turn not only Texas blue, but other Red States as well. This country can't survive what's going on in this country right now. That's why we shouldn't be distracted with what's going on over there. We took our eye off the ball here, and went fighting commies overseas for years, and what happened? While we were distracted somewhere else, communism blossomed here in America, the RATS have embraced it, and have expanded it with the help of people like George Soros. All of this crap could have hopefully been dealt with as it happened, if we hadn't been focused on some foreign country's battles. And yet, it's all still going on.

The topic of this thread, Ivan, is Russia’s military and you criticized the U.S. for having aircraft carriers.

Hey, let’s think like a Russian. If Putin’s media says “recent research indicates that bread causes cancer,” what can you conclude? You can conclude that the wheat crop has failed.
