Hamas sympathizers tried to pull something similar right after October 7. The audio supposedly said that the women were to be raped but Hamas supporters said they were captives. In Islamic Law, all captive women are expected to be raped, so it was just more Taqiyya.

Besides which, there are various dialects of Arabic. The meaning given by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum is undoubtedly correct for the area where the October 7 Massacre took place.
