I’m not sure what the legal status of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is, but if it had any teeth, little to no Ohio votes would be BIG.

I am not aware that any Republican leaning state has agreed to it; it is a democrat way of effectively bypassing the Electoral College. That said, if a Republican were to win the national popular vote (after waiting a month for California to report its results), but lose the Constitutional EC vote, dem state legislatures would quickly pass legislation abandoning the compact.

NPVIC is unconstitutional. It surrenders the votes of one sovereign state’s voters to the whims of another state, thwarting the will of the state legislature.
