4336. Treatment of service in Israeli Defense9 Forces10 ‘‘(a) IN GENERAL .—For purposes of this chapter, to the extent practicable, the service of a citizen of the United States in the Israeli Defense Forces shall be treated in the same manner as service in the uniformed services.
Sounds like a very bad idea. Whatever they cast this as, within 3 years there will be Ukrainian Azov and Afghan translators clogging up the VA centers and hospitals.

I am for supporting IDF. I personally would be fine with lend leasing them a B-52 and all the bombs they can use.
But US VA Vet status has to be something special. Dept of Homeland Defense to protect us from another 9/11 is now a leviathan monster with the manpower of the USMC and twice the budget.
If we do this it would open the door to Afghans, Iraqis, Kurds, Azov nazis, Peace Corps, you name it. All would get US veteran status.
This time it is republicans. But we must ask, who would democrats add as “veterans” when they gain control again someday?

If you serve in another countries military, you should loose your citizenship automatically.
8 U.S. Code § 1481 - Loss of nationality by native-born or naturalized citizen; voluntary action; burden of proof; presumptions
(a)A person who is a national of the United States whether by birth or naturalization, shall lose his nationality by voluntarily performing any of the following acts with the intention of relinquishing United States nationality—
(1)obtaining naturalization in a foreign state upon his own application or upon an application filed by a duly authorized agent, after having attained the age of eighteen years; or
(2)taking an oath or making an affirmation or other formal declaration of allegiance to a foreign state or a political subdivision thereof, after having attained the age of eighteen years; or
(3)entering, or serving in, the armed forces of a foreign state if (A) such armed forces are engaged in hostilities against the United States, or (B) such persons serve as a commissioned or non-commissioned officer; or.....

Yet at the same time, I detest that DC is splitting the baby and cannot seem to call the Hamas bestiality out and stand with Israel at this time. It’s rare to see such a clear cut example of decency and evil.
