Salman Rushdie: Palestinian State Would Be Taliban-Like
Newsmax ^ | 20 May 2024 | Michael Katz

Acclaimed novelist Salman Rushdie warned that if there were to be a Palestinian state in the Middle East, it would mirror what the Taliban is doing in Afghanistan, would be ruled by Hamas terrorists, and be a satellite state for Iran, the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism.

"I have been in favor of a separate Palestinian state most of my life," the award-winning Indian-British novelist said Sunday, the Jerusalem Post reported, citing an interview he gave with the German rbb24 TV channel. "But if there were a Palestinian state now, it would be run by Hamas, and we would have a Taliban-like state. A satellite state of Iran. Is this what the progressive movements of the Western Left want to create?"

Actually yes, that is precisely what the Left wants to create, along with a rich and nuclear-armed Iran that continues to be run by the mullahs. This is what Obama & puppet Biden have been working on since early 2009.

Me too. It's called Jordan.

The "progressive" (in fact, marxist) Left of the West does indeed want this - because they hate the West - they hate Christians, they hate Whites, they hate conservatives, they hate tradiditional Western Culture. Anything destructive of that they support.

This isn't a surprise - we see it every day in the USA.

” it would mirror what the Taliban is doing in Afghanistan, would be ruled by Hamas terrorists, and be a satellite state for Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism...”

State...try world. Iran already has groups all over the world. Iran supports Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen, among other terrorist organizations. Iran has also backed groups that bombed the US Embassy in Lebanon, attacked US soldiers in Iraq, and fought against US allies in Syria. So Iran is already sponsoring terrorist groups all over the world and this article is worried about a Palestinian state? Very narrow thinking.

Other Iranian funded or overseen groups include but are not limited to:

Palestinian Islamic Jihad
Kataib Hezbollah
Asaib Ahl al Haq
Harakat Hezbollah al Nujaba
Badr Organization
Ansar Allah
Zaynabiyoun Brigade
Fatemiyoun Division
Saraya al Ashtar
Hezbollah al Hejaz…

And this isn’t all of them. The writer is very limited.

Gaza was essentially the second state. People brainwashed and poverty stricken among the multitude of hospitals and schools being built to maneuver the terror tunnels, well fed and well armed.

Salman Rushdie hates conservatives, but he isn’t wrong.

I don’t get how these leftists who ought to know better stay liberal. Salman ought to know better.

there won’t be any more efforts to create a Fakestinian state anywhere in or near Israel, not after they slaughtered 1300 innocent people in their beds and homes and schools on 07 October.

Any Fakestinian state will now need to be set up at least 1000 miles away from Isarel, but really it is time to return the Fakestinian Arab Occupants of the Jewish Promised Land to their own countries (Egypt in the case of Gaza, Arabia, and Iraq/Syria if and when they ever become safe again)
