Colangelo seem to be a skilled liar but maybe the jury is not as stupid as he thinks. He could try to "explain" that each count has something unique, in the hope the jury will be so blinded by TDS, in spite of the carbon copy similarities of the counts, that they would convict on some of the counts. Hope some jurors won't buy that argument.
Exactly. If Bragg failed to present evidence beyond reasonable doubt on just one of the carbon copy counts, the whole edifice collapses like a house of cards.

The next debate is scheduled for June 27. Unless an appeal is successful overturning the verdict in three weeks, Trump would be going into the debates as a “convicted felon”, which is the entire point of this.
A hung jury, which I think is likely, isn't as good as a “not guilty”, but still leaves the matter for discussion during the debate.
I think that a large group of lawyers and legal professors should sign a letter condemning the process, like the “Hunter Laptop” letter that Biden waived around during the 2020 debate.
Also, if there is a “guilty” ruling, Trump's team should file an emergency expedited appeal, pointing out the vast irregularities, and the significant political ramifications a guilty verdict has hanging over his head. A reversal, especially a strongly worded reversal, would go a long way to mitigate a guilty verdict.
Agree. I wish Eileen Cannon was overseeing. Instead, if one of the counts comes back guilty from the jury, we may get a majority of NY kangaroos on the appeal. But one NY appeals court reduced the bail needed in the Letitia goat f***.
Only if assuming the Trump Deranged Manhattan jury doesn’t convict on some counts and not on others.
Merchan will gladly jail Trump on one conviction out of 34 counts while Bragg leisurely decides about retrying the other 33.

Trump deranged or not, I just don’t see that as a likely scenario. ‘Sides, jailing Trump will guarantee him a win in Nov.
What I see is a jury likely riven with disagreements and essentially too dysfunctional to come to any agreement. I could be wrong, but all bets are off after Cohen’s disastrous testimony blew the prosecution’s case out of the water. For perspective, two weeks ago, I was in the 100% chance of conviction.
Oh God I thought it was over for today - that we would get the verdict. Another week of liberals crowing about the trial.

I don’t know folks I’ve been reading on X the judge already instructed the court police to be ready to take Trump in case he’s convicted into a prison cell. They’re preparing all the logistics that need to be taken care of to put him in jail. What effing country are we living in? Please tell me if this is America because I’m beginning to feel like i’m living in Brazil, Venezuela, Russia, North Korea, Germany in 1935, what the hell is going on with this nation? Something is about to go boom! Now you know why dementia FJB gave that commencement speech defending democracy yesterday in our own soil. He let the cat out of the bag! He preparing our woke military for uprising against its citizens in our nation. Something is coming over the horizon and it’s not good. There had been speculation that the judge will tell us all when he does his summation.
