The Dems are smart and not above a bait (to receive all kinds of criticism from every angle) and switch (to a last minute 'savior' who pretends that this last minute candidacy was an unexpected surprise and is reluctant to accept however will do so in order to save our democracy from DJT).

The problem with this theory is that whoever is the actual president right now (most likely Obama) is not just going to give it up to anyone. People don’t just give up their power.
