One thing that could throw this whole circus for a loop: SCOTUS immunity decision. It’s a foregone conclusion that the court will reaffirm (limited) presidential immunity, which would be a win. Since the “crime” in this bogus case is alleged to have occurred in 2017, an evidentiary hearing would be in order.

Lol, true, on both scores. Bragg originally took a pass on the case, so Biden-Garland “reassigned” Matt Colangelo, their No. 3 at DOJ at the time, to Bragg’s office as line prosecutor to push for indictments.

They can’t legally. The statute of limitations for misdemeanor “making a false business record” has expired. It can only be revived/extended if Trump were convicted of an actual felony that the false business record was intended to conceal. Buying damaging stories so the “owners” won’t spread them is not a crime, much less a felony.

The predicate for the widespread use of this disgusting Lawfare ruination of our legal system is threefold. Corrupt prosecutors; complicate judges and their supervising courts; and third, complicate jury pools. The thought that a NY jury will have anyone not politicized is absurd.
