“Signs of life” means somebody jumping around at the crash site signaling for somebody to rescue them when you fly over.

Dead bodies don’t do that.

When they actually land at the crash site they will find them.

So, apparently earlier reports of a “hard landing” of the helicopter were accurate.

I always thought a “hard landing” was one you could walk away from. I guess the definition of a hard landing is different in Iran.

If there is “no sign of life” at the site, it must have been an especially hard landing.

I was wondering the same. It will definitely have an affect.

My understanding is that many many Iranians were dancing in the streets and celebrating...it will be interesting to watch it unfold.

If it was truly a helicopter crash, then he’s likely dead.

OTOH, what a way to get people off your case if you want to *disappear*. Get killed in a crash and have your own government confirm your death from unidentifiable remains.

So I will wait and see. And see who they blame and if they try to use it as an occasion against Israel.
