If every true Jew and Christian was dead, if every believing Church and Synagogue was destroyed, if every Bible and Torah was burned these people would still be miserable.
For it is the Holy Spirit that convicts them and it burns like heaps of coals upon their heads. They cannot escape it, yet they do not know what torments them, so they lash out blindly at all their perceived enemies.
Such is their agony that logic and reason flee and all that is left is burning evil and hatred. They will ally with those who openly denounce them and will exterminate them in the future because they share a common enemy of those they believe torture them by having different points of view or political beliefs.
