Iran is not afraid of attacking Israel directly because they already have attacked us directly—regardless of it’s success or not. They are not deterred and the precedent has been set and they will attack directly again.

The Iranian attack was a major embarrassment to Iran. Are they going to keep embarrassing themselves? Iran uses proxies for deniability. When they acted personally they look like the JV team.
It’s not easy to be Israel but Iran attacking personally made it possible for Israel to strike Iran directly. Both Nations appear reluctant to escalate at this time.
