Is that the country the Founding Fathers founded, a safe one?

They put their lives on the line and were willing to hang together if they lost, so you’d have a safe country to live in?

I thought they founded a country that a man could be free, as he defines freedom? If he defines freedom as the right to inject potions into his arm, that’s his right.

Were the Founding Fathers wrong in what they were trying to do? They should have focused on safety and not freedom?

I’m not using the government to stop people from exercising their rights as they see fit. The most we owe them is honest information and accountability if they use their freedom to hurt people.

But a free country is not just your definition of freedom, but somebody else’s as well.

"Is that the country the Founding Fathers founded, a safe one?"

When our Founding Fathers put their lives on the line to found this Republic, it was to keep our country free from the oppressing rule and laws of a foreign monarchy. They didn't foresee a time when automobiles would become the common method of transportation in this country, or that arrogant and selfish people would drink themselves to oblivion, get behind the wheel of a car, killing themselves and others. They also knew nothing about the uncontrolled influx of lethal drugs through our borders by criminal cartels from another country that would be delivering drugs, the majority of which are produced in China, or that drugs would be classified for recreational use, or that in 2022, 32.6% of stupid people in this country would die from drug overdose.

Don't you think those 32.6% were "educated" enough, and knew that doing drugs could harm them? Yet that many didn't give a damn and O.D.'d because they couldn't give two $hits about being safe. Nobody O.D.'s accidentally. It isn't an accident when you deliberately shoot up as much as you want, knowing full well, that it could kill you. These horse's asses can have as much freedom to drink and drive, or O.D. whenever they want...as long as they don't take an innocent soul with them. The Founding Father's certainly didn't want asshats like that to have the freedom to destroy other people's lives.
