I understand what you’re saying. That was the traditional view of what being a conservative used to mean, you walked what you talked. Today’s conservatives has sort of given up that moral high ground, in favor of independent lifestyles and motivations.
We are far less monolithic as conservatives now than we were during Ronald Reagan or William Buckley’s day. Some republicans, while they may not say they are
‘pro-abortion’, they have become ‘open to letting the mother chose’. The main reason for flexibility? It’s often the only way to get votes from certain demographics. That topic is all certain voters really care about.
Good point. I’m just wishing for the days when it might be possible to differentiate a republican from a Democrat. I wish they could just knock off their bull crap until the election in November.
Since she(Van Duyne) is divorced, she is a single woman-and McCormick has apparently been separated for several months and both he and his wife have made legal moves to end the marriage-what is all the fuss about?
